From a Volunteers perspective
"From the beginning, all members of staff have made me feel very welcome, always sharing a “hello, how are you?” to longer conversations depending on time availability. It is always such a positive start to volunteering. I think that the children have been aware of the way that I am treated by the staff as other children in the class freely say “hello” or comment about something."
"The teachers are so pleasant and respectful when I go into the classroom to collect a child and our positive relationship is a good example to the children. I have appreciated helpful communication regarding appropriate books for the children, their concentration span, etc and this has all helped me in my volunteering role."
"The children I read with also have additional help from the school and it has been wonderful to see how all this has aided progress with the childrens’ reading as well as their confidence and ability to cope with various circumstances."
"I have always looked forward to my time at the school and am very grateful to have a placement in such a special place."
