Co-Opted Governor - Dr Michael Mortimer

           Michael Mortimer, Co-opted Governor

Joined February 2015

I joined the Open University in 1978 and retired as a Reader in Physical Chemistry in 2012. Throughout my academic career I have had wide-ranging interests in education. I continue to be involved in my local community as a member of Akeley Parish Council for which I acted as Chairman for 22 years. In years gone by, both of my sons attended the school in Akeley. My aim is to support St James and St John School, in all the ways that I can, in its mission to ensure that every child can fulfil his or her potential.
