I joined the Open University in 1978 and retired as a Reader in Physical Chemistry in 2012. Throughout my academic career I have had wide-ranging interests in education. My involvement in the local community includes acting as Chairman of Akeley Parish Council for 22 years. In years gone by, both my sons attended the school in Akeley. My overall aim as a Governor is to support, in all the ways that I can, St James and St John School in its mission to ensure that every child can fulfill his or her potential.
