We are incredibly fortunate to enjoy a strong and valued relationship with the National Trust at Stowe. Being located so close to this historic and beautiful landscape gives our children a unique opportunity to connect with nature, heritage and the outdoors.

Each year, our pupils visit the stunningly landscaped grounds of Stowe, where they are able to explore, observe seasonal change. These school visits enrich learning across the curriculum and create memorable experiences that stay with the children long after they return to school.

    Our Stoweman

In December 2025, our Year 6 class participated in the 'Stowemen' trail! Stowe National Trust Gardens put on a winter trail where visitors discovered a selection of Snowmen (or Stowemen as they are fondly named) individually designed by local community groups - St James and St John CofE Primary School being one of them!

Our partnership also extends into our own school grounds. Sophie, a gardener from Stowe, planted a blossom tree in our school garden, a lasting symbol of our connection with Stowe and our commitment to nurturing green spaces.

We are extremely proud of this collaboration and grateful for the ongoing support of the National Trust at Stowe, which continues to inspire our school community.
