Friday 22nd May
I think the wind has blown the sun's hat off today...let's hope it finds it again later on!
I can't believe that we are at the end of half term and you've now only got one half term left as Year Five! It really doesn't seem that long ago that it was September and we were all starting our Year Five journey together. You've got lots to look back on and be proud of! What's been extra special for me is that I can see such a difference since teaching you in Year Three with Mrs Sheldon.
I hope that you enjoy a bit of a break from the school work next week and that you and your families are all well.
Speak to you soon.
Thursday 21st May
Only one more day until the Half Term holidays and a rest from the school work! You're doing a great job and I hope that you're being kind to your teachers at home and following their instructions...they're doing a great job too!
Time for some work in the garden for me again today I think - I love having my "desk" set up on our table out there.
Keep doing your very best and remember that if there's something you're finding challenging, don't worry as we will help you with it when we get back to school. The most important thing is that you have a go and are happy!
Have a great day and I'll speak to you again tomorrow.
Wednesday 20th May
What a beautiful day it was again yesterday! We had a BBQ and ate dinner in the garden - it was so lovely we felt like we were on holiday Our cat and dog were a bit naughty though and chased a frog around our pond! Mr Harper had to shoo them away!
I hope that you all had a good day too!
The weather forecast is due to be lovely for the next week, so I hope that we can spend plenty of time enjoying the garden and hope that you can all get outside and enjoy it too!
Speak to you all tomorrow.
Tuesday 19th May
I hope that you all had a good day yesterday - it was such a beautiful day that I spent the day working outside! It's so soothing and relaxing listening to the waterfall splashing into the pond. This evening I pruned the roses - it turns out that I've got quite into gardening whilst spending so much time at home. Having a hobby really helps to keep the mind active and it brings me such happiness. I wonder if any of you have taken up any new hobbies?
Have a terrific Tuesday and I'll speak to you all tomorrow.
Monday 18th May
Wow! Where on earth has this half term gone?! I can't believe we are now in our last week!
This week is "Mental Health Awareness Week" and this year the theme is kindness. If you look under the "other activities" tab under today's activities tab, you will find a selection of activities to choose from detailing acts of kindness you can carry out whilst at home. The fantastic thing about showing kindness to others is that it also makes us feel good too! I've also included instructions of how to make a "things to look forward to jar" which I think is a fabulous idea to make as a family...I think I will make one at home too! I know that a walk on the beach will definitely go in there!
Have a great day.
