Friday 24th APRIL
How on earth is is Friday! This week has absolutely whizzed by - although (for those eagle-eyed among you) clearly yesterday I still thought it was March...whoops! I wonder whether any of you did any of the St George's day activities on the English Heritage site. I particularly liked the idea of designing your own coat of arms and I thought the dragon was more cute than scary!
I had a lovely day working in my garden yesterday doing some homework set by Mrs Andrews, and we even cooked and ate tea outside...fajitas yummy! It's so lovely spending so much time with the family outside.
Much of the same planned for today as it's meant to be another lovely day...make sure you don't forget your suncream if you're out in the sun - it's getting quite hot!
I had a slight technical hitch and only recorded the latest installment of Street Child yesterday afternoon so look out for that today! I'm hoping I'll get another two chapters read this afternoon and ready for you on Monday.
I hope all is well with you and your families - keep being super stars!
Thursday 23rd April 2020
Happy St George's day - and a beautiful one it is again today! I'll definitely be setting up my work station in the garden again today, under the sun shade!
If you want to find out more about St George, take a look at the English Heritage website...there's lots of great things for you to discover and some ideas of things to make and do if you want to: https://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/whats-on/st-georges-day/
Have a great day!
Wednesday 22nd April 2020
Today is not only World Earth Day but also marks 50 years since the first Earth Day. Mrs Sheldon has posted a link to National Geographic so why not check it out for more information. I spent the day working in my garden yesterday so I hope that you were all able to get out in the sunshine too! It was also my dog's birthday so she enjoyed a day basking in the sun!
I hope that you all have a good day today - I'm planning to record you another two chapters of Street Child so look out for that tomorrow.
Monday 20th April 2020
Welcome to the "Summer Term" with a little bit of a difference (and distance!).
I hope that you all enjoyed the Easter break - I know that it won't have been quite the same, but well done for all being super stars and staying at home!
You can find your learning for today under the 'Home Learning' tab and it looks a little bit different than it did before the holidays. I thought a bit more structure might make it more clear for you to find the activities.
As always, have a go with as much as you can do - although we have been doing this a few weeks now, we are all still adjusting aren't we?!
I'm hoping that you're all well and I do miss our chats! Perhaps some of you will be sending pictures and news to "Wrigley Writes" so that I can see what you've been up to! I have seen a picture of someone taking very good care of twin eggs over the holidays - it was fabulous! I would love to see the pictures if anyone else did the challenge.
I'm going to be busy this week filming some more of the book for you to listen to so look out for the next instalment!
I'll keep checking in with you every day, but if you have any questions your parents can always send me an email via the office...or if you want to send me a note to say hello!
Take care all.
