Wednesday 1st April
Good morning, Year 3. How are you all this morning? It’s 1st April today and did you know that April is believed to be named after the Greek goddess, Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty. Certainly the gardens and countryside are starting to look beautiful as buds begin to open. Keep watching the changes in nature as we move through spring.
Update on the jigsaw situation. A little progress!
Did you manage to answer yesterday’s riddle?
Answer: An envelope!
Today’s riddle: The more you take, the more you leave behind. What are they?
Work for today – hopefully you are all making some entries in your diaries. Well, attached below is a diary to read. It’s The Diary of a Lively Labrador (maybe like Mrs Pedder’s Beau). For today, you can just read the first week of the diary.
I think you will enjoy reading it. Then I’d like you to answer the questions. You could write the answers or if there’s someone not busy at the moment in your house, you could just tell them the answers.
For maths, see the attached sheet. Try sheet 1 and have a go at the extra questions on sheet 2 if you want a challenge.
That’s me signing off and handing over to Mrs McK for the rest of the week, but I’ll be in touch with you just to say hello through the holidays.
Take care, and be good.
