Mrs Harper's Daily Diary

Friday 3rd July

Good morning Year Six!

How is it Friday already?! I feel like I've blinked and missed this school week! This Friday also signals two weeks left until we break up for the Summer Holidays and the end of your St James and St John journey! crying Who is ready for a rest?! With all the hard work you have been doing at home, I think you all deserve one for sure!

Have you been enjoying art week? I would love to see some of your creations...remember you can send any of your work through to the office for me to see!

I hope that you all have a fantastic weekend whatever you get up to. I think we are going to be doing some decorating this weekend so that will be fun!

Speak to you on Monday!

Thursday 2nd July

Good morning Year Six!

Happy Thursday to you all.

You'll see that Mrs Davidson and Mrs McKenzie have hijacked the top of the class page today with their meet the teachers video for the next Year Six! Ordinarily, it would have been transition week this week, as I'm sure lots of you know, but as we are not able to do this in person we have had to do this via video.

I wonder if any of you have had "virtual" transition days yet, or perhaps you have something coming up soon that's been organised for you with your new schools. Either way, you'll all be fab and, I know I keep saying it, I can't believe that it's come round so quickly!!

Have a fab day and I'll speak to you all again tomorrow!

Answers to yesterday's riddles...let's see how you got on!

What has a head, a tail, is brown, and has no legs? A coin

What can go up a chimney down, but can't go down a chimney up? An umbrella (I'm sure you might have heard me tell you this one before - it's one of my favourites!)

David's Father has three sons - Snap, Crackle and ? David of course! How many of you automatically thought Pop?! (I'll let you into a secret...I did at first!)

What belongs to you, but other people use it more than you? Your name

What has many keys, but can't open a single door? A piano! (One for Mrs Plummer there! I do miss her singing assemblies!)

I wonder how you've been doing with the Art Challenges for this week...remember that you can send them in to the office for me to see!

I hope that you all have a wicked Wednesday and I'll speak to you all tomorrow.

Monday 29th June

Good morning Year Six!

I hope that you all had a good weekend! I do miss hearing about what you've been up to. I've been doing lots of sorting and organising this weekend -I know boring eh! I'm sure there have been lots of households that have been having a good clear out or decorating during our time at home.

I have to say that it was quite a relief to have some cooler weather after the heat on Thursday and Friday. It was so windy though wasn't it!

I'm sure you will not be surprised to find out that Year Four won the TTRockstars battle against Year Six this week - well done to those of you who took part.

I don't think I'll be having my office set up outside today but I am hoping to go out for a dog walk this evening. smiley

I hope that you all have a good day!
