Monday 23rd March
Good Morning Year 3. I hope you’ve all had a good weekend.
Mrs Dandy here with an update on news and things to do.
So, over the weekend I decided that, as there are some things we all can’t do at the moment, I would try something new. Now I know that some of you Year 3s are learning the piano and are getting to be really good, but I know absolutely nothing about playing the piano so I thought I would at least try to learn a little bit. I got my musician son to set up a keyboard for me at my computer so that I can watch some lessons on YouTube.
Lesson 1 and I’m already struggling. I’m going to have to work very hard but I am determined!
Also, I have ordered a jig-saw puzzle with 1,000 small pieces for my family to work on together. I’ll send you a photo of it later in the week when it arrives.
Now, a riddle for you:
What is full of holes but still holds water?
I hope you are making a start on the pack of work we sent home and don’t forget the link on this page to another pack of work for Y3.
I suggest that you practise a few of the Y3/4 spellings each week so why not try the first 8 this week. Also, practise a different multiplication table each week, and the divisions that go with it, so that you know it really well. This week you could start with x2, x5 and x10 because you know these already, so check that you are just as confident with the division.
