Hi Year 3
I hope you had a wonderful weekend, I was very glad it was a bit cooler and everyone could sleep a bit better! This weekend I have been on a couple of nice walks only got rained on once! I baked some cookies for my friend's birthday and planned lots of lessons for you and Year 2.
Before we talk about your lessons I want to say a HUGE well done to Maisie for all of the money she has raised for Emily's Star it is an incredible achievement and will help so many families, I'm sure everyone will join me in saying congratulations and how proud we are of you!
This week is Art week! If we had been in school you would be doing lots of wonderful art activities so this week you will have English and Maths like normal and then a different act activity each day. I have tried to include a range of activities, and materials. I have given a choice on some days so you can choose what to do based on what resources you have at home. If you would like to send me in any photos please do so through the office, I love seeing your work!
You are kicking off today by drawing some animals there are step by step guides, some written some videos, once you've drawn them you can colour them however you like or just leave them as drawings. In English today you are listening to a story called 'The Night Shimmy' by Anthony Browne, you then have some questions to answer and an activity on expanded noun phrases. In Maths you are exploring 3D shapes.
I hope you have a marvellous Monday!
Love Mrs Barker
