Our school is a Church of England Primary School and a place where Christian values form the basis of all our policy and practice. Our school motto is ‘Unite and prosper’ as we feel that this statement clearly articulates what the school is about – working together to achieve. Governors, Staff and Parents are committed to providing the best possible education and experience for each child according to their individual needs, abilities and choices.
Within a framework of Christian values and community support, we will ensure that each child, by receiving a stimulating and challenging education, will fulfil their potential, thereby equipping them with the skills to face the challenges of the 21st century and a journey of life-long learning.
Our core values are:
‘Do unto others as you would have them do to you.’ (Luke 6:31)
St James & St John Church of England School have six core values. These values have been carefully chosen by all stakeholders including children, parents, staff and governors. Our values underpin all that we do at St James & St John and we explore these values in depth.During our collective worship, we aim to make these values central to everything we do at school and in life.
St James & St John Church of England School take very seriously our responsibilities towards safeguarding pupils, please report any concerns to Louise Woods, Designated Safeguarding Lead. All adults working in any capacity in our school have enhanced DBS checks in place.
