During the war, important information was passed between people using coded messages. If the enemy saw the messages, the codes stopped them finding out what the military were planning.
Here are two Code-Cracking tasks for you to try today.
One is a Morse Code actvity. Morse Code uses patterns of dots and dashes to represent letters. The final page of the activity gives you the codes to match the alphabet - you'll need to use this to crack the code messages!
The second activity is a Cryptogram task. Cryptograms use numbers to represent letters. There are three levels of difficulty for you to choose from - for each level you'll need the Cryptogram fact sheet which tells you which number stands for which letter. Have fun!
