Good Morning Everyone
I hope you are all safe and well at home this morning. So, here we are at the start of May already. May is often a really lovely month - full of sunshine and the first signs of the summer flowers. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the sun puts its hat back on soon!
I hope you all had a great day yesterday. It was lovely to see some of you turning your hand to baking too. Jack and Ellsie made some delicious looking blueberry muffins and Stanley baked an awesome fruit cake for his grandad. Well done everyone .
I was chatting to Mrs Andrews on WhatsApp yesterday evening. (Which is not unusual to be honest! The school grown ups have been doing a lot of that over the last few weeks. We must chat A LOT when we are at school!!!). Anyway, Mrs Andrews sent me a picture that has been painted by her son Albert. She and Mr Andrews asked Albert to draw a portrait of their family during lockdown so they could keep it as a memory of this time.
It's the most beautiful painting, full of really intricate detail! I love all the detail on the bird table and the guinea pigs on their rug. You might spot a rather cheeky cat too!! Mrs Andrews and Albert have very kindly let me share the picture and I thought it might be a lovely activity for you all to try at home today too.
Remember, drawings don't all have to be the same. You could draw a picture, colour or paint it, use felt tip pens or crayons - it really doesn't matter. It is just important that you have fun doing it and that you include all the things which are important to you at the moment.
I'd love to see how you get on!
Have a wonderful weekend and have fun!!
With all best wishes,
